David graduated from Menlo Atherton in 1990 and decided to attend the University of California at Davis. During his years at Davis, David continued to pursue an exceptionally active lifestyle. He took lessons and became a certified pilot in 1993. His first flight in a Cessna was out of the Davis airport. His passion for flying continued throughout his life. David was appointed as the controller of the 15,000 Associated Students at UC Davis his junior year. During his term, he was instrumental in bringing the London double-decker buses to Davis. David has strengths in both vision and execution; he also started a US Post Office on campus that quickly became the largest contract US Post Office in the country. David graduated with a degree in genomics, the study of the genomes of organisms, in 1994.
