My last role at McKinsey was as part of the staffing team. There are people that you look forward to talking to in a day and David was always one of them for me. David could be incredibly demanding, but could always be counted on to make me laugh. The problem was that he was almost always right, and he was certainly never in doubt! David could take the best argument that you had ever put together, and tear it apart while also being completely charming about it. I am a better person for our interactions. I always imagined that he'd run something major, even something bigger than McKinsey. He was a truly GREAT person, in the pure sense of the world.
