We loved going out with David & Melissa. After a couple of cocktails (OK one for David), we would all laugh together about what lightweights we had become. And after that first cocktail, David would put on his endearing smile, laugh his high-pitched laugh, gaze at Melissa with his 'I'm absolutely smitten' stare, and regale us with hilarious stories of work and home. And Melissa had her own 'I'm smitten' stare for David - her pursed lips that turned into a gentle smile - and she always made sure she touched his shoulder or arm. It was wonderful to be in the presence of a couple who was so clearly in love and loved to shake off the kids and work and have fun. And after every night out, we would drive home and say, 'David and Melissa are such a great couple. We need to see more of them.' And we are so thankful for the time we had together.
