I was lucky enough to have spent a week last Christmas with David, Melissa, the girls and all of Melissa's extended family. All together in the same house!! My most precious memory of David was watching him sitting with Caroline on his knee having a very serious conversation. It is something I had seen him do on numerous occasions with all the girls. Clearly, something had upset her and he was going through a long explanation (in Czech of course) to help her understand what had happened. He certainly took his role as a father very seriously.
